How transfers work

1. Get bank list       →  Fetch the list of supported banks and their codes
2. Validate account    →  Verify the recipient's account number before sending
3. Initiate transfer   →  Send money (single or bulk)
4. Track status        →  Monitor the transfer until it's completed

Transfer flow

Before initiating any transfer, you should validate the recipient’s account. This confirms the account exists and returns the account holder’s name, so you can verify the details before sending money.

Fees

Transfer fees are calculated based on the transfer amount. Use the fee calculation endpoints to show your users the exact cost before they confirm a transfer. Fees include:
  • Numero fee — the fee you’re charged for the transfer
  • Stamp duty — NGN stamp duty (₦50 on third-party NGN transfers ≥ ₦10,000), a government levy passed through at cost
